Transfusion, the Battlefield, and Racial Politics; The Poetry of Warfare and Urology; and Mobilize the Troops! Military Involvement in the History of Testicular Cancer are just 3 of the exciting, educational, and entertaining presentations for the upcoming History Forum at the AUA Annual Meeting in Chicago. There will be 14 posters and 21 podium presentations. Some will be related to the theme of this year’s History Exhibit, Battlefield Urology, located at Booth 1342 on the Science and Technology Floor. The History Forum has been approved for 3.5 hours of ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) credit.
The History Forum will take place Friday afternoon, April 28, 1:00-5:00 pm, in Room S105C at McCormick Place. Also at the Forum, Dr Steven Hudak will give the annual Bicknell Lecture, Battlefield Genitourinary Injury: Past, Present, and Future. The Medical Ethics Debate will consider: Triage in War—When Economics and Resources Are Limited: Allies vs Enemies, Military vs Civilians.
Join us to learn about The Virginia Sterilization Act, Hugh Young’s War on Anesthesia, The Codpiece, and much more at the History Forum. The complete schedule of titles, times, and presenters is listed on the Annual Meeting website.
We look forward to seeing you there.
