I have the utmost admiration and respect for Dr Denstedt. I first met John at the Canadian Urological Association meeting in Halifax, and I think it was just before he assumed the role as Secretary of the AUA. During this time, he has been superb in his professional relationships with SMSNA (the Sexual Medicine Society of North America) and me personally.
Dr Denstedt has exemplified the role of the AUA Secretary in his noteworthy AUANews accomplishments and in the extremely professional way he has conducted himself. His tenure was tough and one that was challenged by the worst of the COVID pandemic. Throughout, he stayed calm and collected while planning ahead and rallying his troops to get the job done. I have lost count of the times I had heard someone in an SMSNA leadership role praise Dr Denstedt for his dedication and hard work. A+ all around in my book.
It has been an honor working with Dr Denstedt as the Associate Editor for Men’s Health, and I look forward to our paths crossing in the future.
