Receiving an award, particularly at the level of the AUA, is not only exciting but also humbling. It is imperative to recognize that this accolade is not as much an individual award as it is a testament to the efforts of numerous AUA committee members and dedicated AUA staff who contribute to the success of our specialty. Countless physicians have devoted substantial nonclinical hours, contributing their expertise for the benefit of AUA members, the urologic community, and the broader medical field, and in this case especially the leaders within the Public Policy Committee and the Coding and Reimbursement Committee. Their commitment involves not only investing time and expertise but also passing down invaluable knowledge to succeeding groups. Recognition should also extend to the tireless contributions of the AUA staff, whose collective efforts, though too numerous to name individually, have been instrumental in advancing the AUA’s agenda and making this award possible. Their expertise and unwavering dedication have played a pivotal role in safeguarding and advancing the needs of AUA members, thereby positively impacting the practice of urology and the well-being of our patients. We should all take great pride in thanking those who contribute to our success and those who are part of the team actively committed to promoting the protection of our specialty.
